MK3OC National Rolling Road Day 2009- Posted by Alex
Due to a clash with dates this didn't get held at Courtenay Sport as they had a more pressing engagement come up, but thankfully the guys at Northampton MotorSport came to the rescue offing us the exact same date as Courteneys. They had also had a new rolling road setup installed the December prior. As we'd been there before and knew they had a good reputation we went fot it and got a great turnout of 16 cars, 3 of which were non-Vaux.

Trax 2009- Posted by Alex
Trax was far better than last year, this was mainly down to the good weather we had, but in all honesty it couldn't have been worse than last year. We had an excellent stand location as well being located on the concrete just outside the paddock area. There was so much going on at the event, as well as the usual track action, and hot laps in an Exige they had Ken Block performing his amazing stunts plus the chance to win passenger rides with him!
We had an excellent runout with a packed stand with Darren Knights flip painted 4wd Turbo monster atracting the most interest. The event galery will be up soon, in the mean time feel free to check out our members pictures on the forum.

VBOA National Rally 2009- Posted by Alex
What a weekend! Many thanks to our fine members who attended the event with us. We had a record number who made the whole weekend from the Friday through to the Sunday.
The weather was kind to us, it waited until the Saturday evening to really pour with rain. Sunday was sunny and hot as we have become accustomed to at Billing. The VBOA put on a fabulous event with a wonderful raffle that raised just under £1500, with Vauxhall donating some impressive prizes. Unfortunately, however, none of our members won.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members for the fine display they enabled us to put on over the event and for their outstanding conduct over the weekend. I would also like to thank Domino's Pizza in Northampton (Wootton), the pizza on the Friday night was superb and went down very well with all concerned. I would like to give a special mention to two of our members in particular, the first being Rickisgrate who travelled all the way down from Scotland to attend the event (this was the first time we have had a Scottish member on our stand at the VBOA National Rally) and also to Andy who, despite having to turn back on the Friday with a knackered wheel bearing, managed to make it for the Saturday night after having spent all that day rushing around fixing the problem.

Performance Vauxhall Show 2009- Posted by Alex
Well the weather was absolutely awful, but the show was still worth a visit. This year was the first year of it being a 2 day event, the format seemed to work well, but by the Sunday lunchtime most things had been seen and done, hopefully they'll add more things to the itinerary for next year.
We had a good turnout for the event despite the weather although it was slightly disappointing that the weather did put some people off. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members that attended the show with MK3OC as without them we would have had no stand, and hopefully we'll be back to better weather for PVS 2010.
