Firstly, merry xmas everybody! I got a Rclick remote locking kit with alarm, as my Ls didn't come with one standard. So I was wondering if anybody knows how to install them?
I have the diagrams and looms, but when it comes to this kind of thing i'm lost!
The one i have is...

You have to buy the Haynes manual about the Astra like it the colour of the wires etc I can't really tell you much more as my dad helped me with mine and I haven't got a clue on how to do it. My dad only fitted the Remote central locking and not the siren.#
Wish I could help you a bit more

Oh right good ;) but when Rclick sent you the instructions (if they did) it should near enough be all correct but it wasn't easy at first for my dad as he had to try and do is best to get the right colour wires etc. My dad got there in the end though and it works perfectly except when the car is cold, when you use the remote the indicators don't flash up when you're unlocking, it only does it when the car is warmed up (don't ask why I have no idea why it does this). The other thing like I said we haven't fitted is the siren but the original alarm still works thank god lol

Won't know till today fella. My grandad died last night, got a phonecall this morning at 2.20am. Even if he doesn't cover me i'll pull the sympathy card. I'm a little sad, but he left my nan when i was a tot, and we havn't spoken to him since.

The kit comes with it I think ,but if it's easier to just give me an alarm / remote locking thats all I really need. Remote start will be an added bonus unless its too complicated (which it probably is!)

i have an Ls estate and bought a simple alarm from ebay and fitted it behind the glove box, i found this thread here (http://mk3oc.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10519) most helpfull as it tells you which wires you need to find to install the locking part, the siren for mine was just 2 wires, one from the alarm box to the siren and another to an earth point, as for remote start, i havent got around to fitting this bit yet bit its there for when i do, hope that helps you get it fitted m8 as i know how much or a pain it is
it looked too complicated for me, u gotta wire into the handbrake & stuff like that :tape: think its to do with the engine start

one thing ive noticed with my alarm is it has auto lock for when its unlocked but noone opens a door, now i forgot to wire this up and it starting to get annoying when you get in the car and 10 seconds later it locks lol, remember to wire this one in or it might drive you mad in time lol
my toad has that feature, its to stop people getting in your car when your in traffic etc or if its like mine it deadlocks all the doors & u can only get out if u open the drivers door  i've trapped many females in my car :tape:
