Right, I need some opinions and research...

Need internet in my halls!!!! But I can't get NTL - we only have BT phone lines.

So basically, any service provider which works using a BT phone line ... who do you use and how much do you pay per month? Including/excluding BT line rental? Will defo need more than 2gig per month usage... 1 meg or 2 meg broadband I'm not fussed over.

Don't use BT themselves, thats for sure. Utter trash.
****ty limits, poor reliability, and technical support staff who don't have a clue what they're talking about.
I had to complain to them yesterday because I had to revisit a customer of mine 3 times... after they informed him his Internet Explorer was "Broken and needed to be reinstalled". Each time I called out to see it (a journey of 20 miles), it turned out the problem had been caused by something BT technical support had told him to do !
I told them the next time it happens I'm going to invoice them for my fuel and time :)

Another one of my customers has had problems with his line for going on 7 weeks now. It has no DSL signal, and they haven't a clue why. They just keep running the same tests over and over again, and are clearly utterly clueless as to where the fault lies. They've tried blaming his modem / router a few times too, but I ruled that out by bringing up spares which were known to be working... that fairly ****ed them off.

Nildram and Wanadoo seem to get decent reviews.
