was thinking of binning my power steering set up on my gsi as the pump is shagged and the pipes are in a poor state, ive heard u can use one from a citroen or pug that is not belt driven but electric ,has anybody used this set up before ,is it hard to install?
Was thinking of doing away with my pas system all together pipes all manky etc...
Wanted to tidey up engine bay plus the pump and my boost pipe is very close.
Corsa ones are fave to use, my friend is using one on his citroen 2CV8, a 2cv with a v8 rover engine in a strethed mgb gt chassis, this has electric power steering from a corsa.

Not sure, he bought it off of ebay, I know he had to buy a little box of tricks/electronics to control the pump though, so he can vary the pressure, I know also merc a class ones have been used a lot as well.

Saw friend today, and had a look at motor etc, it uses the column and electric motor from a CORSA B, don't know what "B" is myself but assume you do ?

I thought it was the corsa c that had the electric p/s? We've got one in at work and that has p/s problems so the steering collumn has been out to test the motor
