  • Hi mate, im running a F16 gearbox, think the F15 is for the smaller block engine (1.6 and lower). Im doing the headwork myself, as and when i have time to do it. Im also doing all the intake pipes myself mate, have a look in my diary to see what i have done, and i will be updating with pics as i go along so you will be able to see how im doing the pipes etc ;-)
    Part 2. lol.

    Also making/doing-

Gas flowing/porting and skimming my spare cylinder head
    Magnecor plug leads
    Adjustable cam pulleys

You can get it chipped/remapped using Unichip (plus a few other options are available).
But i would'nt do this until you have done everything else you plan to do, and its not cheap.
P.S. This is my spec and i would suggest doing the same as its not going to cost big bucks but will see decent gains.-

    Part 1.

So far its got- (engine wise)

    Lexmaul 4 branch
    De-Cat
    Free flow back box
    Dbilas Sportcams
    Adjustable fuel pressure reg
    Short shifter
    De-restricted airbox

    Also got/made (to go on)-

2x Cold air feed pipes into airbox
    Courtenay sport panel filter
Enlarged airbox outlet pipe (3" rather than 2.5")
3" intake pipe from airbox to air flow meter
Enlarged stainless intake elbow pipe (that goes from Air flow meter to throttle body)
Enlarged and flowed throttle body (58mm to 63mm)
Mildly gas flowed intake manifold (have to be careful with intake ports)
Stainless 2.5" centre section exhaust with free flow silencer (only standard bit left to change)
    Alloy oil catch tank
Yours is the C18Xe then, same as mine? My Superchip made pretty much no difference, other than raising the rev limiter which is pointless unless your making peak power quite high in the revs. I have also read that people have seen the Eco engine LOSE power from a Superchip but not sure how true that is tbh.
My cams seemed to make no difference, then i was told to fit an adjustable fuel pressure reg after a poor dyno run, i set it at 3.5-3.6 bar, and now i have matched the fuel to the cams, its loads better mate. So i would suggest that. :-)
Is the throttle body just polished, or is it enlarged aswell?
Also i had a K&N cone filter sat in the front bumper, i have since fitted the airbox and its much better again. Fit a short shifter aswell mate, made loadsa difference to my car :-)
    Hope this helps.
    You had yours dyno'd??
