If it were me, I’d take the rad out and flush some water through it with a hose just to be sure. It’s just two top bolts, the top and bottom hoses, the return hose and the temp sensor plug. Lift it out and stick a hose down each outlet and check what the flow’s like.

Yeah, there’s a couple of types that I’ve seen during my travels to scrappys (short yellow ones, tall yellow ones, short black ones and tall black ones), I wonder if maybe the black ones are aftermarket pattern parts or something. I found mine in a scrappy a few years back.
