so wat did i do wen i pushed in that screw thing and locked it in....thats the only time ive been able to get the car into reverse....wat does this mean? wat wud i have to do?

i got it into reverse but i was playing around with the screwthing just to the left of the clutch cable! i pushed it in its like this screw thing with a spring that goes into the gearbox i pushed it in and it made it hard to put it into any gear then it crunched into reverse! does this mean...

is the linkage your talking about lower than where the stick sorta turns into a ball like figure?

are the rubber bushings located more towards the clutch cable? like under the bonnet?

its quite firm i fink.... if it is quite loose how would i i make it more firm? take it all out and put it all back in properly?

Hi im New to mk3oc i want to put a c20xe into my mk3 astra ive phoned around and not many garages do an engine conversion! i know one garage but i dont trust the employees lol anyone got any advice on where to go? cheers karl
