Intercoolers- fitment to GSI without cutting, other options?

Mk4 side mounts are tiny intercoolers, everyone with a zlet replaces them for something bigger and front mounted to get the airflow through them.

I saw very tidy white mk2 some time last week but for the life of me I can not remember where it was! Think it was in the Norwich area though?

Been a while since updating, but the garage is repaired and repainted, new UPVC window etc, finishes it off nicely, I'm now able to use it as storage. The house is still very much a building site, very hard to see it like this but the best news is its been signed off as dry!! Getting the...

Mk3 cav digi dash on eBay

GTE's both had the curved rev counter and the one with the dip at the end. Usually 16v's were curved and 8v's dipped although that wasn't always the case. The original link is a modified GTE digi dash as mentioned.

Cheers guys, yeah all the current flooding thats been going on has been a worry but its not really been affecting the East coast so much, its mostly rivers busting their banks and flood plans causing this latest bout of flooding, I've got to be more worried about the sea with excessively high...

Cheers guys! The house has been almost stripped bare, just things like the kitchen, bathroom and fire place to be pulled out, then the plaster can come off the walls so the bricks can dry properly (for a couple more months). The out buildings are almost empty, floors in the sheds have to be...

Just to update those interested, I've purchased a replacement vectra, almost identical (standard wise anyway) just a year newer, but its even the same colour! Its not as 'clean' as my old one but sure I'll have it up to scratch soon! Then it will be a case of swapping all the mods over which is...

Not sure, depends what payout I get and what I can afford after all of this, had to claim on my own car insurance so not going to be cheap!! They wanted to take it away and fully strip it down, replacing/clean everything and give it back to me without me paying a penny! They really are a great...

Cheers, yeah the insurance will cover it, I wouldn't of moved there if they wouldn't cover that sort of event, I pay more for my cover due to the risks but so glad I have it! There are many people far worse off than me who simply couldn't get cover on their property.

    anyone affected by the flooding?

Swapped the VXR interior including steering wheel and gear lever back to the old cloth & parts, pulled out the sport module, just in case I cant get it back to pull more mods off. Just got to wait and see now..

    anyone affected by the flooding?

act of god does not exist in this circumstance, insurance have been out to assess, waiting on more phone calls etc but shouldn't be a problem to get things put back to normal. Car was towed today, they just yanked it up onto a flat bed, it was hard to watch!

Cheers guys! The vec-c forum guys wanted to take the vec away and give it back to me in a few months like brand new! But unfortunately diesel/heating oil, salt water and waste water isn't a nice mix, and although I know they would do a stirling job I wouldn't want that on them. Kev- just...

Some photos for those who have not seen but may be interested to see the mess! Got hundreds more photos for the insurance, just to add I lost a fence panel (a big heavy overlap 6ft panel complete with posts!) which came down in the wind earlier in the day of the floods, the panel...

Thanks guys, means a lot! The car is being taken away tomorrow for assessing (to be written off!) but hopefully I can get it back to strip and make some of the cash back. House assessors are coming tomorrow too so hopefully make some progress on that, and find out if they can put me up somewhere...

Some of you may already know but the vec is now a write off. My house and car have been flooded out in the coastal surges over the last few days and has left me with very little. Can admin please close this thread... Thanks!

They kind of did if you were willing to pay the price for the extras lol, most people would be happy with the standard run of the mill vec sri though, just not me!
