1.4 16v astra?

Would i be right in thinking you get a 1.4 16v Astra mk3 ? 1997 or there arounds

Yeah it is the 1.4 Ecotec, Thats was what was in mine when I got it. Engine was fooked though due to snapped timing belt.

ecotec 90bhp engine (soon to be around the 120bhp mark)
15" alloys standard
sun roof
leccy windows
body coloured bumpers
fog lights
etc etc

oh and mines a 1997, 'M' private reg

I think your is the same model as mine John. Same Colour as well. 1.4 16v LS? Mine has Power Steering, Leccy Windows, Fog Lights etc as well. It is annoying though that my old J Plate GLS had Electric Heated mirrors and the P Plate one has manuals.

The black panel isn't strictly GSi, it's a facelift part

Because the GLS is better faster much nicer and lovelier to look at than anything on the roads

isnt the facelift black panel different to the GSI black panel tho??

mine looks grey-ish and the GSI's look black.

anyway, the puzzling thing about the mk3 facelift is why they bothered putting the 1.6 8v I have in mine into the astra when the 1.4 16v is faster, more bhp, better fuel economy etc.
