i've got a 1.8sport (x18xe) my 4 branch is blowing and i want to swap back to standard manifold/downpipe, will a standard 2.0sport manifold/downpipe (x20xev) fit my engine/exhaust
will make sure i get a 1.8 not a 2.0, 1.8sport is a x18xe engine and the 2.0 is a x20xev they are same engine but the 2.0 is bored out, the v on the end of the engine code means volume increase
No it isn't. A Sport is a C18XEL, if it was an X18XE then it would have EGR and SAI.
But it doesn't, so it isn't.
The V stands for 'volume model' but no-one seems to be able to decide whether that means it was a high production engine (as it was used in so many cars) or whether it means increased capacity.
Increased capacity doesn't seem right to me, since the X20XEV appeared BEFORE the X18XE.
