So my Gsi has the rear beam valve which in my infinite wisdom I decided to take apart and clean up, didn't go well.... I have found a new 8/3 valve which is what mine is for £138 :(

I found a thread about the inline valves that early Gsi's had, I think it was TomF posted saying they need to be 3/20 valves which are part number 90421844, not sure where the requirement for 3/20 comes from? Or what that actually means, I can find corsa ones that are 3/30 but only listed for smaller engined models these are only about £70 for a pair but not sure if they will be safe to use

Can anyone help with suggestions on what to do for the best?

I think the 3/20 is the fixed restriced ratio.. Mk2 GTE 16v non ABS had the same valves but they are very hard if not impossible to find these days.

If 3/30 is the closest you can find then I cant see why they wouldnt be able to be used..

3/30 are listed for the mk3 for drum brake models part number 90443886, now whether there is a big difference between these and the 3/20 Im not sure.

They are on ebay item number 193712743561

Managed to find a brand new rear beam valve, fingers crossed it turns up okay :)
