had a water pipe burst on me today, its the one that takes water into the heater matrix. i cut the bad bit off the pipe and with luck found a piece of copper water pipe that fits inside and jewelbley (cant spell) clipped them together.

will it be ok?

or will i need to replace the pipe for the long term?

its not leeking and its holding it temp ok. i just dont know much about that side of mechanical things - eg: if its under alot of presure etc.

Thanks

It's under a few psi, but nothing the jubilee clips can't handle. Would be better if the pipe had flared ends, but this should do.

Just remember to check it every so often.

What he said^^, if the leaks stopped will certainly do at least for now.
