Dont know where to start but here is my question to anyone who knows about fitting bike carbs to a c20ne, so far i have read how to fit the carbs to the engine the only thing is what about the ignition system, if i do away with the ECU what can i use for the spark. im on a limited cash flow so something cheap n cheerful would be the better opion

Cheers Kev

from what I have read there is a 1.6 Carbed Cavalier with an ECU & wiring loom, however thats from something I read a LONG time ago so maybe incorrect.

There is a huge how to thread on Mig mate, just search bike carbs on there, im sure you will find the answer :beer:

oooo R1's dont need aftermarket management???

Just read an article as it says that it can be used with std management, and apart from a new inlet manifold a choke cable & throttle cable your not really going to be needing much else.......... however my question is how do you get around the injectors?? without injectors to fire surley the engine wouldn't spark & it wouldn't run!?

im going to save and give this a good read!!

If i remember correctly, you use the dizzy and coil from a Cav 1.6 i think, but have to have it modded (most people use bogg bros) to have the advance etc sorted for your particular engine.

I cant remember exactly though :sorry:

Yeah thats true, however the 14XE never come with a dizzy :/

Ah R1's it also says will work with coils too
