c20xe problems

hi guys i have recently purchased a late c20xe with coil pack. i have noticed that it has not got a cam sensor fitted and cant seam to find them anywhere.

the only ones i can find are the ones for the x20xev, will these work on the c20xe?

any help appreciated.

No, the Ecotec ones sit in between the cam pulleys, the C20XE ones sits on the distributor blank.

mine has not got a distrobuter blank, i dont think.

and just looked up the part number you have sent me and it does not look like this would fit anywhere. i will get pics up at the weekend as im away from ho,e at the mo.

maybe that will help.

If it's got a coil pack, then it has to have a dizzy blank, otherwise oil would **** out of the hole where to dizzy would be

seams i might have the wrong idea. it is a late type redtop though wich came with a coil pack and never had a dizzy therefore it would not have a blank off would it?

getting confused now, lol

Just look at where the dizzy should be if it was an earlier one, on that is where you'll find the cam sensor.

sorted, was being thick. found it now and it does have a cam sensor
