c20xe timing

hey guys fitting a new cambelt to my new engine this weekend and i just want to clarify the timing of it.

on the c20xe should the cams point to the indents on the rocker cover? because on all my other engines which have been eco's the timing marks had to point at each other so need clarification before i go ahead and do it.

any help appreciated, pics would be good
its a late type c20xe with coil pack.

Yes, cams point at indents on the rocker cover (12 o'clock) and the crank pulley points at the mark on the oil pump (6 o'clock)

Well like any sensible person, you'll be turning the engine over manually a few revs before that anyway.

i line my eco ones up the same way on the indents on cover and bottom at 6 oclock on the botton crank

the only engines i have changed cambelts on are 1.6 16v and on these the indents point towards each other on the cams. so needed to clarify the timing of the xe before i went ahead with it.
