C25XE V6 redtop...

Hi all,
I have the above engine, i was going to be puting it in my 5 door astra, change of plan now, im going to turbo it now,
what do you all think would be best with V6, would it make more money in bits or as a complete engine, it's the redtop V6 so has no immobiliser, all thought would be much appreciated. thanks in advance. gaz

If it's a good engine you'd be better off selling it whole imo, as if you break it for bits you may end up with loads of bits left that no-one wants

Fair comment mate, its not long had a full rebuild, i had the engine of 'VERNON' off ere, he's a very reliable source, shame to break it relly mat but i wanna make as much money as i can out of it so i can get the turbo rebuilt

well if its got a PN ecu then thats worth a fair amount on its own, also the following are no longer stocked by vauxhall, non air con engine mount, heater matrix out let pipe and the PN ecu is getting harder to find and when you do they normally go for £70+ funny 2 yrs ago i bought 3 off ebay and not one cost more than £15 inc p&p

thanks for the info astramad, yes it is the PN ecu, i hae all the pipe work, but no its got air con, i have all the alternator cooler pipes and fan which stillwork perfect, but still how much would that amount? and i'd still be stuck with the engine lie alex said, what else is worth selling seperately?

Whats the milage on it and is it a good runner? Maybe after it for a corsa lol. You can pretty much pick up cav v6's now for £200 to £400 so anything in between there

ill find out the millege mate, wasn't high i know that, we checked all the coolin system on it before it was dropped out, fan came in when it should do, could do with a clean in my opinion but thats me, i hate dirty engines. are you offering?
