Cambelt Tensioner Adjustment?

Right chaps, I intend to change the cambelt and water pump on the coupe tomorrow, under the covers its basically the same cambelt set up as a 2.0 ecotec, now I have done a few cambelts before (last one being around 4 years ago though!) and it always seems to take me forever to set the dam tensioner up correctly!

I'm on limited time tomorrow so all needs to go quickly and smoothly, so hows the best way to set it up?? A fairly detailed description would be most appreciated

i hope this helps mate as they are pretty much the same and there is only one way to do it on a mk4 and thats with an allen key

It's simple

Set the tensioner to the new belt mark, spin the engine over twice by hand. If the tensioner is no longer set at the new belt mark, adjust it, spin it over and check again.

Repeat till it stays on the new belt mark after 2 rotations.
