hi all
I have a hole in my catalytic converter just want to know
a. how much am I looking at for a replacement
b. how easy is it to do myself

It's fairly easy to change a cat tbh, but best bet is to soak the bolts in wd40 for a few mins before you start trying to undo them as they do like to rust. As for cost I'm not sure on how much a cat for the diesels cost, best bet having a look on ebay or local motor factors

engine type is X17DTL
its the GM lump
just had a quick look at it seems the pipe goes straight from the cat to the turbo is this correct or did I miss seeing a joint?

It would seem it is this one then for the X17DTL, which is a 1 piece and in that case it's £87.30

dont forget to wiegth the old cat in, got £30 for mine when i de cated it

Where do you take them to mate and would they take any other parts of the exhaust system
