My cars de-locked and fitted with an alarm I use to lock and un lock the doors. But now the drivers door as stopped locking?? It will unlock if I lock manually from inside the car while pushing button down??.. then it’ll unlock fine? Any ideas or help will be great thank you.

hello mate, moved the thread to the right part of the forum,

have you had a look at the actuator in the door?? need to get the door car off and look i reckon. what do u mean by this bit.......

It will unlock if I lock manually from inside the car while pushing button down??.. then it’ll unlock fine? Any ideas or help will be great thank you.

It all worked fine
But now will only lock if I’m inside the car pushing the button down while pressing the alarm fob?? But unlocks fine??

yea sounds like maybe the solenoid is gettin weak, get the door car off, remove the plastic carefully and have a look

Depending on how old the alarm is it could be the alarm itself failing, I removed mine last year as was causing all sorts of issues, I think it was just old with relays starting to fail, but try what Dave suggests first :)

Just ordered a new actuator, hopefully that’ll sort it!!..
let us know how you get on. might aswell get the door car off in the mean time
