Chipping a x20xev

Can you buy chips for a x20xev like the redtops or is it a no go. Hope iv explained it clearly enough lol

check out google for 'x20xer' u can do a remap of your ecu for the opc x20xer engine, but that also had a differnet head with the irmscher manifold and some other trick bits and pieces which made it pretty quick...

Cams, Pistons, Manifold and map it was a160bhp

NONE of which can be bought now.

Vauxhalls will not do the map either unless you have the XER engine

Superchips do do maps for the XEV tho as do courtneys

at least they're nice and warm then... what did u make a RR out of interest?

you can get chips for these but i think you need to solder them into the ecu board unlike the redtop ones where you just plug in a new epom chip, i could be wrong tho, its really more hassel than its worth best off just getting is setup on a RR and a remap job done,

they only made enough of the cars to get into rallying. I only know of 1 XEV converted to the XER map and thats because the owner had access to the tools to do it and the know how

yes as they had access to the tools to unlock it, i speak to them all often and cant do it anymore ( i tried )

id do the remap last to get the most from it. Courtney do a XEV stage tuning which is like a remap, cams, filter etc. look on there web site.
