Clutch???

Hi,

Can anybody advise what the following problem could be?? Whilst driving l went to change gear when my clutch pedal went straight to the floor which then wouldn't allow me to engage gear. The clutch pedal now is down to floor and wont return to its original postion.

Is this the clutch cable that requires renewal??

Any help would be appreciated???

99% chance it's the clutch cable, easy to replace.

there will be a clutch arm on top of the gearbox which the cable attaches to,if the cable is snapped this will be fully forward

could also be a knackered release brearing

More likely the cable than the thrust bearing, if you have to fit new cable then on the bulk head side, quash one of the sides of the cable clip (which goes through the clutch pedal), this will allow ease of fitting,
