Converting to a 256mm front disc

Afternoon all

I have a 1994 1.4 Opel Kadett (I think you guys in the UK refer to them as a Vauxhall Astra mk3)

I am in the process of converting it into a track car.

I am probably going to have a million questions, which I hope you guys can help me out with.

For now I need to convert the front discs to the bigger 256mm ones.
Are the front struts the same on a 1.4 at they are on a 2.0ltr ?
Are the calipers the same?

Any info on this will be greatly appreciated

They will bolt straight on to your struts, good upgrade to have

Are the calipers the same? I have been searching around the net and they seem to be the same caliper. can't work out how they will fit a bigger disc.

Carriers are certainly different, which is how they’d fit a bigger disc.
I thought the callipers are too…. I just bought a set and rebuilt in advance of swapping.

but as said GSi brakes will bolt onto your struts.
