right my g.f's just passed her test and had her little corsa in for mot which it had some welding done.

but now the eml light has come on, on the way home, no noticable problems, as far as im aware as i aint drove it, idles fine though.

and when you brake, the rear drum grinds only when coming to a stop??

they said the brake level sensor or something was seized as it would crab / brake at rear more, or front, so they sorted that apparently to pass the mot

any ideas / help

can you read the ecu codes off?

car has been stood ages. so hammer to the drum? or are the shoes ****ed?

I would check both rear drums inside that the wheel cylinders have not started leaking, if one has do both, with new shoes, peel back the seals on the end of the wheel cylinder and see if wet, should be bone dry but these are always failing big time, I probably do mine every 18 - 24 months due to leaking, so got discs to go on now.
They also have a habit of making the drums go oval, if there are no signs of leakage though simply clean everything up, rough the shoes up, chamfer the leading edge to stop grabbing issues.
