custom sub box

hi guys im just wondering if i buy 3 15" JL subs to go in the boot will i have enough room to fit them in a custom box behind the rear seats in my eastate or is it best to go with 2 15" subs?

i like my bass lol and with only a simple kenwood 10" it just int enough lol, im hopefully going to use the whole boot IF i can get away with it but if not it will have to be a normal box that sits against the back of the rear seats, im also thinking of adding a couple of sets of better speakers up front too but thats another story

great, thats good to know, will start to make some measurements soon, i was looking at the JL subs, but is there any others tht anyone can reccomend that pound hard and low for not a lot of cash

3 subs would defo fit! there are cheap ones online which produce quite a lot of bass

yeh arches are the main problem but i might see if ronnie will entertain them if he has time as ill buy the arches and ask him to weld them in, i can do the rest for that lol

Got two 15" JBL"s in my astra an they kick ass with amp turned down..

u will need 2.2 cubic ft per sub so will easily fit,, if you are going port, you need 4.25 cubic ft with 30hz tuning,,,

i know my jl 15's lol!!! got 6 of em in a 26 cubic ft wall in my van!

ive got a design here for a some boxes i built for a clio,,, big and bulky though! was doing 148.6db's on a termlab reader with 1000wrms to each sub and flat batteries

if u click on the image to enlarge it, gives u exact box specs, and even gives u the details of what sizes to cut each bit of wood!! brilliant design and i can give u tips on how to improve it slightly too
