De-Tangoed Estate Clusters

I was wondering if anyone had tried getting the orange out of phase 2 estate rear light lenses.
There was a great thread a while ago about doing this to hatchback models - are estate lenses made in a similar way?

Right, I've just visited that old thread and found out it was only for GSi lights. So I'd imagine it would be impossible for phase 2 Estate lenses.

yep you can only de-tango hatch gsi tail lights.

you get smoked rear lights for the estate iirc, why not look into buying those?

I'm quite happy with the level of smoke/tint on the phase 2 lenses but I'm getting a pair of clear MK4 repeaters and it would have been great if the orange was removable from the rear lenses. Clear all round.
