hey, just a couple of quick questions,

what am I better off getting for my astra, vented discs or solid discs??

also, will my car already have rear discs, its a 97 R 1.6 8v SPI LS with ABS I believe.

to have vented disks you would need 16v calipers to go with them.

You wont have rear disk on a LS. Only the astra GSI's came with rear disk

yea 2.0l sports have rear discs and i think the 2.0l cdx's do.

Only car with solid discs is the povert 1.4 8v SPi (236mm)

1.4 8v Mpi has 236's too, but vented. Ditto for the 1.4 16v, 1.6 8v, and all diesels.

All other 16v's have 256's.

You can add the 1997 5dr special edition 1.6 16v to that list as it came with (236mm) vented
