hi all
anyone know how I can go about putting 2.0 gsi outer cv joints on a 1.4 as I keep snapping off the standard 22t ones
the standard ones are 22t inner (gaps) 52mm dia seal face 52mm shaft end to seal face on wheel side 22t outer 146mm end to end 20 x 1mm thread.
would be nice if I could keep my driveshafts unless there are some which fit my inner cvj's and fit gsi outer cv joints
any ideas anyone

DaveBgsi did somthing along them lines as he stuck a valver in a 1.4 and I'm sure he kept it small block legs

Pretty sure he just used a smallblock gearbox using a 1.7d flywheel.

But seriously what the hell are you doing to snap cv joints on a 1.4?,

I was wondering this! :hmmm:

its not that standard for a 14 16v two have gone so far if I cant find a way to do it I may have to go some what smaller on the tyres and get the spin back lol

the defining factor is the hubs so your not going to be able to do it, you need to get big block legs and shafts really.

is there a turbo on the engine?

not shafts fail its cv joint and yes supercharged
2.0 legs are same just hub has larger shaft and I have hubs with small shafts
looks like I may have to move up to 2.0 diff then I can put large shafts hubs and cv joints
