Had the door panel off today and cant find the wires for the electric mirrors. Now to help, when i purchased the car she had no mirrors but i assumed them to be manual as i couldn't see wires then. If they were there where would they be hiding?

If not, how easy is it to wire them in as i have the mirrors and have the switch all ready to be fitted.

Have you pulled the triangular shaped trim off on the inside of the door. The wiring is usally there and the connector is usally an inch or so inside the door card along the loom. The connector can be got at without removing the card. If your mirrors were manual you would see the adjuster lever, unless someone has fitted leccy mirrors and cut the wires off

When i purchased the car she had no mirrors nor inner trim fitted. I'll take another look today when i change my door card back over.

Should it have the wiring as normal then?

most do not tend to have the wiring fitted, best bet is to un-do the black round connector in the door jam, count how many wires are in each half of the connector (a small mirror will help!), I bet you have more in the car side of the connector than in the door side connector, in which case you can add the wires to the door looms etc and just locate them in the correct position in the connectors.

Would i be right in assuming that somebody on here would have a wiring diagram or at least know which wire does what? A pic or a door loom would be nice as well so i can see how the switch connects into the loop as well, lol

I cant remember the wire colours off the top of my head (going back some years now!) but if you get the leccy mirror wiring form another astra or cav mk3 (I know the colours are the same) it will just be a case of matching them up in the black round connectors. (pull the rubber boots off to expose the wires and see)

Cheers for all your help dude, much appreciated
