Got a ph2 astra sport abs ecu that i was gonna use to run my cav turbo electric speedo now all the info ive found on this uses a 25 pin ecu but the one ive got is a 15 pin ecu, so does any one know if i can still use it and which wires to use? if not which cars have the 25 pin ecu?..

Thanks in advance..

Easiest is to connect the amplifier at the ABS ECU connector, just splice into the ABS wires as they go into the ECU plug.

Out of the 15 pin plug theres 11 wire, 8 for the abs sensors and 3 spare:-
pin 1 - brown/yellow - abs light
pin 9 - black/yellow - ?
pin 15- brown/white - ?

Theres also a 4 pin plug:-
pin 1 - black/red - autobox
pin 2 - black - live
pin 3 - brown - earth
pin 4 - brown/yellow x2 - abs light

Am i right in thinking i just need to use the black and brown to get the ecu to work and then splice into the wires for the amplifier and just tape the spares up, also is the black +ve a switched live?..

if your car doesnt have abs to start with then you dont need the ECU. i think mark got the wrong idea and thinks you already have abs.

just plug join the abs sensor wires strait to the amplifier.

As you said you have a 15 pin ABS plug you alaready have ABS.

You join the amplifier input to an ABS cable as it goes into the ANS plug, leaving the ABS all connected as well.

Yes, I used the n/s/f sensor but swaped it for a vectra b one as I found that with the astra sensor the speedo didnt pick up right away.
