So drove through a puddle and conked out, waited 5 hours for the RAC, for a lift home.
My astra dont like the wet.
So checked it over and thought I should charge the battery, 5 hours of hazard warning lights took its toll.
Topped the cells up with distilled water... opps first time in 6 years!
10v changed to 13v overnight (thanks to Grandads charger)
Started fine.
Front brakes have started making a horrid grinding noise, so a quick visit to my local motor spares shop. Pads and discs for under £40! Bargin.
Waited all week for some dry weather.
3 hours clean to clean, all done. Pad was down to the metal.
Only forgot to get copper ease for the backs but I guess i can live without for a bit.
Only injury, stabbed my thumb with the metal scraper on the wire brush i was using to remove the crud. 2 screws and that was removed! More Photos in my media.
