i dont mean "keep right foot upright" etc lol

as per previous thread we have worked out the return fuel pipes are right way round etc....so unused fuel should travel back to the tank...(we hope lol)

checked all pipes and no leaks etc.

so it leaves tweaking the engine by logical choice...

any ideas?

ive got a powerflow from cat back exhaust
normal ecu is back on
sports filter
(replaced fuel pump/filter few months back)

been told the mass air flow screw should be tightened fully, then unscrewed 3 aqnd a half turns for the correct setting

any other ideas as its costing me about £1 per mile! might aswell bought a unicorn

When going down hills stick it in neutral
Read the traffic more from a distance
Dont acellerate up to traffic lights if they are on red
Follow lorrys on motorway as they will create a slip stream for you
Stop racing saxos!
You said in your previous thread theres no leaks of petrol but wouldnt it just evaporate if it was leaking?

heheh but them silly saxos gotta learn micky!!!

i suppose it would evaporate but with the snow, ive been able to see if its mixed into the snow etc....

i really dont get it man its really really bad for fuel. like i know it wasnt cheap but this is silly!
shame man cause the engines running sweet!

Could it not just down to you not been used to a bigger engine from a 1.4 which is great on fuel

Could be your tank-

Happens all the time... couldnt see the leak but could smell it when I filled the tank more than 1/2 way. The leak was where the metal is pressed at the seam, these tanks rust like mad!

Had to fit another one

just on interest how long would say a tenners worth of fuel last you at normal driving??? mileage wise

i get 30mpg out of my 2 litre (8valve) and 25mpg if i thrash it. so between 60 and 50 miles for a tenner  20p a mile. still cheaper than the bus

Agreed with Micky... seal the car while your at it. I make sure my cars are ok underneath before winter hits

Getting a new fuel filter fitted while your under the car too would be a good idea m8
