has anyone used HD ECU on Chips?

I need an ECU for my LET which sits in my GSI, everybody says to use pj or pk type as the HD has immobilizer built it, if i were to chip the ecu with eds or some equivalent could i then use that ECU without worrying about the immobilizer part or will it interfere

the immobilizer part of the ECU is seperate from the bit you put the chip in (circuit wise, not physicly). the immobilizer controls starting the car where as the chip controls the car once its started. fitting a chip wont stop the immobiliser from working.

as long as you can get the ecu with the matched key chip and reader then the immobilizer wont cause problem. but that is a rarity hence why people say go for PJ or PK
