Help needed on a few little problems.

I have a 94 astra with a few little problems with it...

One is that the speed is read wrong so it will say i'm going like 60 when im only doing about 40

Also when the car is locked and when I try to unlock it, it won't open... so I left itfor about half an hour then it opened straight away.

Any suggestions on these problems???

use tip-ex and correct the speedo

sounds like a dodgy central locking selonoid. its behind the drivers kick panal inside the a-piller, hidden behind some foam/sponge. they can throw up some wierd problems when on way out. i used to drive along and the doors would lock- turn ignition off and would unlock. i could lock the car, walk away and it would unlock its self!! i replaced mine with one from a scappy for a £5.00 worked fine since


edit - speedo sounds like someone has replaced it from a different modal.
