Doubt it is battery, battery has done its job once the car is started unless you have a lot of ICE.

Check that the belt is tight and that there is no corrosion on the terminals of battery or alternator. You said it discharges over night, do you have an alarm?

Another thing to check. Check that the light comes on with ignition (battery symbol) and goes out once started. If it doesnt light up at all, check it isnt blown. Its a fuse for the regulator and can stop your alternator charging the battery.

If it doesnt light up, start your car and gently rev to around 2.5k. Watch your dash lights, they will get brighter if this is the problem.

Good luck.
