how do i remove the idle control valve

its located on the bottom of the inlet manifold, easiest way is to get under car to remove it, if you look up in centre behind engine you will see a small hose that connects icv to the inlet manifold, undo the jubilee clip to the icv there and then theres another one coming off the icv going to throttle body. undo that jubilee clip and then unplug icv. then it will come out :)

As he has a 1.8 wont it be located on the left hand side of the throttle body and not under the inlet like the c20xe's?

Remove air inlet pipe, get your self some allen keys (can not remember what size though :doh:), its 2 bolts and a wiring plug to remove it, piece of wee!
