Evening guys,

Got two days off monday/tuesday so i'm going to fit this strutbrace of mine. Anyway, how do i do it? what needs to come off etc etc.

Thanking you

assuming your talking about one to fit across the strut tops, you will need to remove the four 13mm nuts and washers from the struts, the coolant bottle nuts ( a couple of 10mm plastic ones) and the washer bottle screw, you wont need to remove the bottles just loosen them off so they can be moved about.

Depending the on the spec of your motor and the strut brace you have, you may need to drill an extra hole in the end near the coolant bottle, you'l see what i mean when you get there.

thanking you very much, will investigate later and report back.

ive had to drill another hole in my strut brace for the alarm switch under the bonnet next to the coolant bottle apart from that its easy enough

On mine, I only have 2 13mm nuts per side, + the coolant bottle one.
Undo them, plonk it over the threads + on, and do them up.

Literally a 10 minute job! Will try to find you a pic...

Can kinda see it in these two...

:( doesn't fit, the engine touches it i think its most likely for a gsi so i'll most likely sell it.

Its designed different from robs \____/ like that but i dont know if i can flip it around the other way if you get what i mean.
