I need to remove the fuel from the tank on my 1.8 Cesaro C18XE which had been accident damaged. I have tryed to syphon the fuel up through the filler neck but have had no luck getting the syphon tube round the bend of the fuel pipe where it goes into the fuel tank. Is this the only way to remove the fuel from the tank or is there another way.
Any help much appreciated.

Under the rear seats there is a black lid for the fuel tank, might be able to get it out via that?

Take the fuel pipe off at the fuel rail put it into whatever container you want it to go in then link out the fuel pump relay, then go put the kettle on sit back and enjoy

If possible i rather not go into the top of the fuel tank. Removing the fuel pipe from the fuel rail might be better. However what is meant by, link out the fuel pump relay and how do i do it on the C18XE ?

I would do it like this but its awkward with the pipes being at the back of the engine, best bet is take the inlet pipe off the fuel filter under the car and put it into a jerry can.

u can either cut into the wires going to the fuel pump, or u can disconnect the wiring plug which leads up to the pump. I assume they are all the same, mine had a 2 pin plug in front of the fuel tank under the car.
or bridge the relay in the drivers footwell behind the kick trim
