How to tell if an Astra mk3 GSI is Real.

Hi All I am looking at Purchasing a 1994 Astra mk3 3 dr GSI, which is for sale. How can I tell if it is a genuine car and not an also that has been converted in the past. Thanks for any help

Do what you should on ANY car purchase check the vin number to V5. GSI's usually have that on the V5 also (GSI) try and check the engine number also.

If you want to share the car maybe able to see if its one we know

Hi Kev_mk3, I have just HPI the Astra which has confirmed it as a GSi 1.8 16v. The Astra is a blue 3dr reg L235CFH which is located near Poole.
Mileage 108000, with little service history, few minor MODS but mostly original.

i realise this car is a gsi but you could of tried putting the reg into a car insurance comparison site and see what information comes
back.

seems a legit c18xe check for rust from the last mots years ago
