I thought i might put a quick thread up of my new work horse as my old one is dying but not the engine the body work and the clutch, i got given a 1995 ford escort 40 van with a 1.3 single piont engine, to be fair its really manky But is MOT'd till sometime in november so it'll do (with a few modifications), heres some pics of the van inquestion....

Luckily i picked up a escort mk5 si for £40 quid so desided to strip it...

PLANS WITH THE VAN...
Fit the 1.6 16c engine with 1.3 gearbox.
fit electric windows,
fit central locking,
fit the si interior

Well got the engine all fitted in on its mounts, Luckily the ztec down pipe bolted straight to the van exhaust system,

Now all back on its wheels..

Got the dash back in with the new centre console in, now all the elctric windows are all wired in.

I had a little bit of trouble with the tank wiring as i had to cut the wires to get the loom out of bothe vehicles, trouble was they were all brown wires, i soon sorted that and then realised i had the fuel pipes on the wrong way round on the engine, as soon as i swapped them over it fired straight up,

Some pics of the front end on, i personally like the look of the silver bonnet with the mirrors

Looks good mate, when i started reading my first comment was gonna be **** me recon thats painfully slow with a push-rod in it lol, good work though :)
Lol, i would'nt even entertain the push rod engine, they're slow, they are a oil burner and to top it of they dont sound nice at all,

lookin good mate, that front bumper looks good on the van i think
Thanks mate, i've got the silver bumper on, silver bonnet, silver wing mirrors and putting the silver door handles on, so we'll see what it looks like when its done, im keeping all the white stuff just incase i want to change it again
