Mk3 Headlights

So after months of searching for NOS Carello PH1 headlights I've managed to source a drivers side, but can't find a passengers side anywhere.

So I've had an idea, I plan to split them and paint the insides black so could I buy a PH2 headlight and for a PH1 glass? Is the body and inside of the light likely to be identical just the glass shaped differently?

What makes you think that? Visually they look the same, dimensionally, who knows though

I guess my question fits under the same headline, as I didn't want to start a new thread for it...

How is it possible that you could fit FK angel eyes headlights with GSi original grille? Like seen in this video:
As far as I know, there is a difference in the angle of the headlight and the grille? Or is it a Phase 2 grille and therefore different (and also fitting)?

Most Gsi grills as PH1, the 200ts in SA had a PH2 grill that suited the PH2 headlights, it also had a slightly taller slatter section

Yea, as todd says that is infact the ultra rare ph2 gsi grill!
