Definately an SPi. The MPi will have 4 injectors, one for each cylinder.. the SPi only has one injector in the throttle housing.

Cause that's what I told the motor factors when ordering parts and now I've come to fit them, they don't fit!

How do I know if it's 8v or 16v?? Apparently the cylinders look slightly wider but I have nothing to compare it to. Is there nowhere I can find out? I've looked at the registration document and mot certificate.
If I go to Halfords or somewhere, can they tap my reg into the computer and find out. Or can I find out somehow. Is the engine code written anywhere?? I only have an engine number on my reg doc.

Its 8 valve m8.. only 1 cam shaft

and spi's only came in 8v form for all the capacity range, 1.3, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 nz range

The Corsa has never had a 1.3. The only 1.3 ever offered in the Corsa was/is the 1.3 CDti which is a diesel.
If it was in the Nova (Corsa A) then it wouldn't have even been an SPi, just a manual carb. Only SPi in the Novas was the 1.2 iirc.
I was thinking of the diesel, I knew one of them had a 1.3. It must ahve been the nova then.
The diesel in the Nova was a 1.5 Isuzu engine.
