Hi, just wondering how to tell if my astra's an MPI or an SPI

its a 97 R 1.6 LS and is deffo an 8 valver.

also where on the web stocks pipercross induction kits for these cars?

i've got a 1.4 spi in mine with a cone wasnt too difficult to put in just a bit of tubin to extend down.
 
spi will only have one injector

mpi normaly has it wrote on its top hat aint it? its metal, where as the spi is plastic top..

You see the airbox .... as the big black pipe works towards the back of the engine bay, does it go into. ....

1- Black round plastic circular thing?
2- Rectangular metal thing?

1= SPi
2= MPi
 
got it. slightly gutted tho.

checked on the vin plate for the engine code - X16 SZR
was informed this is the engine code for the puny SPI

now I need to fit MPI parts to it before doing any further engine mods. :(
