Just put a headunit in my new astra for the first time, all speakers worked fine apart from the one above, tried other speakers i know are good, nothing, and traced all the wiring and i can't find a break. I checked all the fuses - they're good, so what next?

have you got the balance or fade over to one side? if so move it to 0 so it's not right, left, front or back.

EDIT: try a continuity test on it to rule out broken wiring. If you have a multi meter lying about set it to the beeper symbol , test the leads by putting them together and they should beep and then put one lead on one end of the wire and the other lead on the other end and it shoudl beep. If it dont then you may have to replace the wire, also you can turn it to ohms and test the resistivity of the wire, same way but it will tell you how much resistance there is in the run of wire, the smaller the ohms the better.
