well i thought id take a good look at the whole of the car for spots of rust, some bits aint so bad like the door as it can be grinded back and redone that way others like the rear arches are bad but only on the lip of the arch, its bad to the point i can bend the metal back and forth, now, to fix this would it be best to just grind it back to the bare metal then cut the bad spot out and redo the lip with some fibreglass and filler or get someone to weld a thin plate in and repaint it, oh and the worst spot is on the tailgate

as the top one is so close to the glass would it be best to just find a new tailgate or can it be fixed, the botom on under the handle aint as bad as that can be done with a grinder and a decent bit of metal, hope some of u have an idea for me as thi car is startin to cost more than id like at the moment

id put a new tailgate on it will be less hassle

TBH new tailgate is best now mate

ive got bad rust on my tailgate too. finding another one in grandad gold is hard though

i will too mate. i found one with no rust at all not long ago in fact it was almost perfect, execpt someone had cut all the inside of it with an angle grinder:Cry:
