Is worth upgrading to PAS? Or i'm wasting my time and/or money! Anyone driven both non-pas and pas MK3's?

depends on the sort of driving you do regualrrly
if your doing alot of slow town driving with alot of parking then id go with pas
if its mostly twisty b roads then id stay with a manual rack..prob upgrade to a quickrack aswel

Well I was thinking of going pas but was going to bin the belt drive and go for a electric pas pump. Even then trying to make that work could prove to be a challege. Though the quick rack sound's good, how much (bear in mind this is a cheap runabout)?
PAS is a must for powerfull engines like the XE/LET or heavy engines. its a tad ligher, but so much better, but if it fails, be warned, get a friend to help you turn the wheel while driving slow lol , and dont do any U turns without a good breakfast, its dam hard work!

Have driven my own (funnily enough) with no PAS, and mymate's which is same engine, but has PAS.
For around town, parking etc PAS is great.
Otherwise, I far prefer a lack of as you get much more feel

I suppose I would be better off leaving it intil I get a bigger engine, as paul suggests it could heavier with the bigger engine. Cheers for the replies though.
