The garage finally got around to opening it up after the cam belt snapped, and found one of the pistons had been mullered, hence dead engine. I haven't got the skills to put a new engine in myself so it's new car time.

I'm going to be sad to see it go, but I've had a fun 7 years with it.

The more I think about it the more I'm tempted to keep it. It could do with new suspension too, and the bodywork needs some serious TLC. But I've got to buy a new car quick because it's a real pain in the arse getting to work without one, so I will have the time to pull it to bits.

But the most advanced thing I've done on the car is changing the windscreen wiper linkage, I feel a little out of my depth with an engine swap.

You should keep it mate, if you do get the work done or you do it you know its done, wont need doing again. You could buy another car that may have the same problems down the line.

I think I will keep it. Though with no garage it's resurrection will have to wait for some drier weather.
