Have a car with central locking for a change, is it a hard mod to make it work from a fob wirelessly? or is it something you need a certificate for to show the insurers?

You'll only need a certificate if you have a cat 1 or 2 alarm and then you only need it if you want to try and get a discount on your insurance
Remote locking is simple to fit to the Astra, it needs wiring up negative pulse and if your connecting indicators aswell your best place to do all the wiring is the passenger kickpanel

ok, is there a guide to doing it or is it different system to system? I can't even wire a plug lol.
