I'm thinking about getting this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-LAGUNA-2-0-DYNAMIQUE-TURBO_W0QQitemZ270541837989 I've already had a test drive in it and loved it but don't know what you lot think of it though.
I just don't know weather or not to go for it but I do like it.
I think it isn't a bad price wouldn't say cheap but only just about right imo.
Oh for some reason the interior picture isn't right.
 
after looking for a laguna splitter i was shocked to see the amount of these being broken on ebay!

just this evening there are 201 results, i know some of them are the old shape, but not a good sign really!!

and i think they look ugly as hell!
 
I have known two people who have had that shape laguna and both gearboxes went on them. If the car has no warranty you are talking £700 for a reconditioned or second hand gearbox. I love the styling of them but its french at the end of the day thats why i stay away from them.
 
A few fault with the laguna 2 the DCi is worse though.

Xenon headlight stop working,
Keycard fails to lock or unlock,
Tailgate locking problems,
Incorrect tyre pressure reading & Puncture warning shows itself but tyre still hard,
Rear coil spring are know to snap and excessive ware on rear bushes.
Renaults are also know for there pencil coils for dying.
 
my mates mum had one and had nothing but problems with it, there was a problem with the central locking that cost around £700 to get sorted
 
i work for renault and i can safely say that list which has just been put up with cost u a grand easiesly to fix.
Xenon bulbs are over 100quid, and the ballast more,
tire valve plus codein bout 100quid
key card 100 plus to by n code

their not bad cars, just be ready to spend some money on it

and the pencil coils don't go wrong on the turbos and sports haha
 
Only 1 positive atm then lol I just don't know now really as I like Vauxhalls a lot more but I still have a soft spot for the Laguna though as I have had a test drive in it and loved it but liking Vauxhalls more gets to me lol
I'm shocked on how second hand cars have gone up though in the past year at least. Like Vectras for a Turbo version you can't buy at that price you're looking at a good £3500 to £5,000 depending on age of course for one.

It must be about the only model that they don't then :lol: the problem with Renaults more so meg 2 & lag 2 is water ingress and which electrical component it leaks into.
 
I drove Laguna's for years,my brother in law works for a Rennie dealer. the pre-Y reg's are great rides(have had 5 or 6) Y and later are just trouble.

Never even knew they did a petrol turbo one, whats the spec ?
 
The entry level is 165bhp the autos are 170bhp then there is the GT which is 205bhp with 221 lb-ft of Torque
 
Quite good have a look on link except interior picture is the only one that isn't right in link but it was well nice with half leather interior and leather on the door panels there isn't another example I could find on the bay with the same interior pic. It was well light on the steering to drive for a big car I might go back Wednesday and have another test drive to see if I do want it because I can't decide still but getting back into my car it's so heavy, bumpy ride and just a bit slow. Want something quicker at a good price and this is especially insurance is cheaper than a Vauxhall Signum Turbo as well believe it or not and only £70 more than mine to insure when the insurance is due next month.

GT dont sound too bad, still wouldnt touch one tbh though having had to work on loads of them with the faults youve listed mate and more !
 
im only windin u up mate, had nevos car on the stand most years and most places, think its only billing alex gets all shirty about, willl have to ask him thou lol
