Finally it'll be getting lowered - 60mm rear Pi springs, 40mm front Spax springs. too poor for dampers! Will let you know how it goes

nooooooo -60 on the rear will be about-80 with pi and will handle like a bag of marshmallows.
-40 is the max mate.

Should have gone for the same brand all round dude - will probably have differing qualities of ride now - wouldn't be my choice :| lol

Am fitting my Sport bit's on monday if I can pick them up off Ade!

Well .. fronts went on fine.
Rears didnt. Stupid offset of 35 or something meant it smashed straight into the arch lip.

So they're sold now .... tbh doesn't look at all nose-downy.

Plans now ar to get some replacement alloys, as my 17"s are fairly nakered. 17"s or 16"s?

if your more concerned with looks and dont mind tramlining then go for 17s.

if you want it to handle well and look nice go for 16s

I think I've resolved that problem now...

Now having dilemmas over my wheels.

Wheel one - buckled (but has new tyre on, so not tooooo bad)
Wheels two - bulge in tyre, goddam potholes.. needs checking out
Wheel three - surprisingly fine
Wheel four - Needs new tyre very soon

Wouldnt really want much for them, ideal for someone learning how to refurb wheels or knock out buckles. Just need to find some wheels which are sub £200 (cheaper is definitely better), and also .. what size? 17"s look best, but they're caused me so much hassle. 16"s would be ideal, 15"s too small I think.

16's are the perfect compromise between looks and handling. mine had 17s on it when i got it and they were horrendous !! got a new set of 16s and its lovely to drive.

il have a set of 17s up for sale soon (when i can be bothered to refurb them) will only be looking for about £120 for them, and they can be painted in any colour the buyer likes

there 7 or 8 spokes look the same as BK 238 wheels or 100+ phantom or League 077 tantrum wheels. they'll need a new set of tyres cause the ones on there are on or below the legal limit.

cant really remember much about them, there in the corner of my garage covered in overspray and bits of cloth, if i can dig them out over the weekend il get some pics

Now have some old Konig 15"s on - 195/45 frot and 195/50 rear, and 40mm offste not 35!

Handles much better I think. Now need to sort my puncture! Hopefully getting hold of some rare Morettes which have a GSi style grill.
And sort the rust on my wing.
Want to lose my ammeter ... but what to repalce it with? oil pressure, or temp?

Also just done a quick chop of my morettes which should be coming very soon - the rare GSi grill ones

like the morettes ......... apart from 1 thing that really bugs me -

i HATE the way they look where they meet the bottom of the front wings !!

think if i was gonna fit them i would remove the front indicators and smooth the hole so that it blended in with the morettes, and then put some small indicators behind the front grill or recess them into the bumper somehow.

rear clusters look fantastic tho !!

Loving the idea with removing the indicators dude - would look bloody smart! Lot of work to get the welds straight and polished though...lol

Well that was a crock of ****. They look ugly in real life and were in worse condition than I expected.

Anyway, help me find a grill now! Reiger one?

WOOOOOO!!

Picke dup my rieger front bumper off browneyeslick () on saturday night, left mine early this morning and with no traffic, cained it up to Paulo's to spray it.
Whilst at it we also removed the rust on my wing + sprayed that.

Having done that, we realised we still had a fuckload of paint left. Hmmm. So mirrors got done, and front door handles too ... couldnt get rear door cards off lol! Any gen on the "winder clip" things?
