roof racks on the estate

Easy people, got myself a derv machine mk3 astra.

Anyone know how to remove the roof racks before I pull the roof lining apart to see? Or is that the only way, There gay so wanna get rid.

iirc i was told you need to remove the roof lining to get to the bolts

Doh >.< I didnt really wanna remove it because its one of them things where if you ain't careful and slow its gunna break and look sh*t lol. I suppose it has to be done though...

Do you no if like cars that don't have racks have the press down slidey bit or will it just leave 2 big gaps where the racks should have been?

i have no idea on that one sorry, i aint had my racks off, so i dunno, i have seen some vans with no racks though and it looks a bit like they have the slidey bits but not 100% sure

To de-rack you need to remove the lining, as mentioned.
Also not sure about the slides ,, seeing as Estates didnt come without rails. Seen some peopl who simply filled the rack slides with plaster and cleaned the roof.
